What is an Audiologist?

Heading up our hearing services at Associates in Ear, Nose and Throat here in Chattanooga, is a great team of Audiologists. They are important people, but you might not have ever heard of one.

An Audiologist is a professional who holds degrees from accredited universities who have trained in the identification, assessment and non-medical treatment of hearing disorders. They work with our physicians, who handle the medical treatment of hearing disorders.

The Audiologist was required to complete a full-time internship and then pass their national competency test. The level of education and testing they have gone though means our audiologists are some of the most qualified people to perform your hearing test. They can refer patients for medical evaluations by one of our doctors and can help provide rehabilitation services for our hearing disorder patients.

We would like for you to choose our office for hearing services, but if not; we highly recommend that you use a facility that has qualified, certified audiologists. Your hearing is too important not to.

If you would like to make an appointment with one of our audiologists, just call 423-309-9111.
